TITLE:  My personal view of Christmas

INSTRUCTIONS:

Christmas time is special. Whether you like it or not , however much you like it or not, there's no way to escape it. You turn on the tv and it's there. You walk in the supermarket and the decorations and music reminds you of it. You walk downtown and the lights and the people, the shops remind you of it. 

WRITE a text explaining your personal view of Christmas. The questions below are meant to help you decide what you can refer to:

What is it that you like about Christmas?

What is it that you don't like about Christmas?

Does Christmas make you feel anything special?

What would you take off Christmas to make it better?

What are you expecting your Christmas this year to be like?

I love seeing the shop windows and the atmosphere that can be felt in the streets these days. I love the illusion of people to put their beautiful houses, the perfect table for the perfect dinner, the tree that does not lack a detail and a special place reserved for the Bethlehem. I love them because they are days full of plans, things to do and places to go. I also like it because it is time to make a "clean slate", to start from scratch, like a book with blank pages that we will fill with new experiences, mistakes, successes and unforgettable moments. All this is Christmas.

On the other hand, there is the absence of people or relatives who are far from their home, who live or work in other cities. Also because we remember with nostalgia Christmas moments with people who no longer accompany us, because they have died or, for other reasons such as separation.
I think that to improve Christmas we should eliminate the ads because there are some people who do not like Christmas so much, because advertising does not show the reality of our homes.
I hope next Christmas is in the company of my closest loved ones, even though my family is far away, I want it to be unforgettable and take advantage of this vacation to reflect.
This year I do not expect anything especially because I do not need anything.
I really like Christmas and those who do not like it, I would say it is a special moment because you share unforgettable moments with the people you love or, on the contrary, you enjoy solitude, for breakfast on the 25th, with the call of that Friend who is not with you at that time, put the Christmas postcards, with the memory of that person who is not there but who will always be in your heart, knowing that you have a great family around you and you can enjoy it, etc.
I think that is what it is about: enjoying the small pleasures that life offers you, the simplicity that hides, in many occasions, happiness.
